Our beloved town in Italy, Comune di Città della Pieve, where International Opera Theater of Philadelphia has created 16 world premiere Italian operas over the past 16 years (something to have not occurred anywhere else in the world) will present a 20 day retrospective on those operas during which our brilliant photographer, artist & friend, Ornella Tiberi has taken unimaginably gorgeous photos. There will be an invitation only presentation in the theater entitled “Fantasy and Reality”, curated by Diego Parbuono, an outdoor presentation, projected in the main square of the town & 20 days of images hanging in the windows of shops on the main street of the historic center of town, with attached codes that enable visitors to hear a short excerpt from each opera, whose picture is depicted on the poster in the window!
